No Matter How far the Road Ahead May be, I’ll Walk it with You

🦴This Issue’s Main Characters:
Lisa & Her Dog Kola / Labrador🐶

Ever since I was little, my dream dog has always been a Labrador. Warm, smart, loyal—they’re like a ray of light that can brighten up even the most ordinary days. Then, one day, by chance, my aunt sent me an adoption message💬:

A Labrador named "Kola" is waiting for a home.

The moment I saw the message, it felt like something inside me was gently stirred. But then came the objections from my family: "Labradors are too big, hard to raise, difficult to train..." Every reason felt like a wall between Kola and me.

But I didn’t give up. I explained over and over, fought for it again and again, and finally, with my relentless effort, the door at home quietly opened—for me, and for Kola.

The first time I met Kola, it stuck its head out of a tiny cage. Those eyes were as clear as morning dew, full of trust and hope. I will never forget that moment. I gently held it in my arms, and it seemed to know that I was the one it had been waiting for. It rubbed its furry little face against my chest, its little paws clinging tightly to my arm, as if to say: “Lisa, you’ve finally come. I really like you 🥰.”

And just like that, Kola officially became a part of my life.

When it first arrived home, it was only two months and ten days old, weighing just 9 pounds. Now, Kola is almost 3 years old! From 9 pounds to 75, we’ve grown together, gained weight together, and made our days full of warmth and joy. Our friends and family all adore it. Not only is Kola my precious treasure, but it’s also become the warm little sunshine in everyone’s eyes.

I often make a quiet wish: that Kola will stay healthy, free from illness, always be a happy little dog, and accompany me through many more springs, summers, autumns, and winters.

The story of Lisa and Kola continues, gently and lovingly ❤️…
